Campus Guardians of Wisconsin is a charitable organization made up of caring community members supporting the educational dreams of young adults who've aged out of the foster care system and are pursuing higher education.
There is no way to apply for assistance. Qualifying students are confidentially identified and contacted by their local Human Services Department and are given the option to opt-in to receiving mail and care packages from our organization.
Campus Guardians was founded by Brookellen Teuber, a prosecutor with over 20 years of experience working with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office. After years of working with children in the foster care system, Brook was well aware of the challenges faced when aging out of the foster care system with little to limited familial support. Having sent children of her own off to college, Brook wanted to send the same support to these adults as she sent to her own children with mail, notes of encouragement, financial gifts, and care packages.
